Not only can they store a broad range of products, but thanks to the lacquer applied to these drums, they also last much longer than plain steel alternatives. Most drums have a 1-3 month shelf life but our lacquered drums have 9-12 months shelf life (depending what environment the drums are stored in).
Our open head drums feature removable lids with locking rings, providing you with easy access to its contents. However, built into the lids are 2″ and 3/4″ outlets, which provide you with a choice of three emptying and filling options. Threaded bungs are supplied as standard to suit each outlet, which ensure no accidental leaks. Need a drum with a fixed lid instead? Our UN Tight Head Steel Drum is the perfect alternative.
